The book deals with a topic that fundamentally affects all of us. It maps the current position and the importance of the representation of women in medicine and health care, and at the same time it is also a vision for the future. The book gives voice and face to 51 strong and empathetic women who are at the same time exceptional leaders and visionaries; to the women who were the first in history to reach management positions: professors, associate professors, doctors, nurses and managers. The authors intention was to pay respect and recognition to all women who dedicated their lives to healing and saving lives. Through photographs and stories of inspiring women, the book captures the essence of their work and their daily efforts, from which springs hope for a better future.
