Od 31. marca 2024 je využívanie odborných garantov na činnosti vo verejnom obstarávaní dobrovoľné. Túto zmenu prináša so sebou novelizácia zákona č. 222/2022 Z. z. o štátnej podpore nájomného bývania, ktorá v článku V upravuje aj zákon o verejnom obstarávaní. Zákon 28. februára podpísala pani prezidentka a už je zverejnený aj v zbierke zákonov.
